In marketing there is this thing called branding. I have a hard time describing what a brand is. There is that book called LoveMarks written by the CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi that does a better job of it. But the brand really is influenced by many things. The price, form of distribution, quality of a product, and also the people behind it. Many companies turn their employees into brand ambassadors. It is pain in the ass when your relative has gone through this brainwashing and goes off at a Christmas dinner. My boss asked me to not display my workplace on social media as I have a tendency to troll spaces.
Elon seems to have damaged his brands with liberal bugmen. They have been attacking Tesla dealerships. This phenomenon is actually wider, people are totally livid about Donald J. All kinds of businesses demonstratively reject American brands (even if the products are made in their countries), concerts are canceled, visits to America rescheduled. Sanctions don’t work, let me explain why! They did cause an initial pain, and that might have been interpreted as success but the intention of sanctions is to influence behavior. And they rarely achieve this goal. If the country is able to overcome sanctions this is a failure. It means that your own companies have definitely lost a market. Unless you are at war, I do not understand what the point of sanctions even is. Sanctions used to be called embargoes and blockades in the past, and they were a method of war. In fact, sanctions are war just not fought with lethal weapons. And the Ukraine war is a proxy war of the West against Russia using the Ukrainians as cannon fodder and supplying them with weapons, money, and material help, while imposing a blockade on Russia.
