So, the Czech media bring up a poll among 601 people conducted by the Kiev International Institute of Sociology that says 54% of Ukrainians don’t want to cede Donbas to Russia. 69% think that Russia wants to genocide the Ukrainians and take away their statehood. 83% think that Russia wants to achieve greater goals than just the takeover of Donbas. 3/4 think that the Ukrainian military is able to hold back the Russians. They believe Russia is advancing slowly with huge losses, and will eventual exhaust itself.

601 in a country that had like 30 – 40 million people before the war (at least officially because Zelensky refused to conduct a census) seems kinda low. Any marketing research here in Czechia gathers like 3,000 respondents. But Ukraine is fucked anyway. The more they continue this war, the worse it will get, the more land will they lose, the more people will leave. In fact, they shouldn’t even have started this in the first place. 😆👌

The Russians are gonna step up the pressure, gradually. Ukraine failed to accept Russia’s demands in Istanbul, Russia changed its strategy. Ukraine kept attacking Russian refineries, now Kiev is freezing. Russia will gradually increase the cost until Ukraine agrees to the demands Russia made clear and did not really change for years. I heard the opinion that Zelensky is purposefully dragging this until the very end and then he will flee to London, and head government in exile, Ukraine be damned. 😆👌

You know what, I find this utterly improbable. Venezuela is far from Russia and there was no way Russia could help Maduro. Ukrainian troops are getting grinned in Donbas. Russia does need to make deals with the Americans to defeat the Ukrainians.

The Czech media are also reporting this with reference to New York Times, they say Putin was given free hand in Ukraine in exchange for Maduro.

I don’t know if you can trust these polls from Ukraine but if any referendum was held on the status of these territories in Ukraine, this would be the result. And then Zelensky would say that he cannot constitutionally cede territory.

And what I find absolutely dumb is that the people of Halychyna (Western Ukraine) would decide the fate of the people of Donbas and Crimea. Why should they have any say in this?

Peace talks are a joke at this point. Trump thinks that he can sell Putin a good deal. But the latter knows that an unfinished war would flare up again. The Ukrainians and their Western supporters think that Ukraine still has a chance to win and deal a strategic defeat to Russia. This is the aim of this war, to either defeat Russia, or defeat Ukraine. And it will only be resolved through the capitulation of one of the sides.

There is a connection between Ukrnazis and some Hong Kong independence types. Now imagine being a Chinese person, and supporting Hong Kong independence or motherfucking Ukraine. Honestly motherfucka do you have any self awareness? I can understand your anti-Communism. But Russia is not Communist, and if anything, this war is making the CCP only stronger. Russia has been driven by Western sanctions into the arms of Beijing and China is largely responsible for the Russian economy running.

China has literally gained Russia’s vast resources delivered by land, that is less susceptible to blockade from the sea. And China seeks to attract any energy resource available.

In fact, Hong Kong independence is an absolute utopia. Hong Kong as a territory depended on the Royal Navy. And once the Brits were gone, it was over. I can understand stand against the CCP but how are they helping that cause in Ukraine?
