The Czech initiative to procure artillery ammo for Ukraine seems to have ended with a fiasco. The initiative was widely reported by the media here in Czechia and was used to promote the president’s cult of personality. Petr Pavel has a media hyped cult of personality bigger than Vladimir Putin and nobody bats an eye.

Do you remember, not so long ago, various Western trolls were all saying how Russia is desperate for ammo and has to procure rounds from North Korea, and how those rounds are shit. 😆

Czechia recently allowed Ukraine to shoot their rounds towards Russia. Not like Ukraine hasn’t been shooting Vampire rockets towards Belgorod several months prior.

The ideal of a Ukrainian nationalist that is a Ukrainian speaker, wants to join the West, and is a Ukrainian Catholic or Ukrainian Orthodox, which is cultivated by the contemporary Ukrainian state is not shared by everyone.

In the East of the country, there are those that still prefer speaking Russian. While some have been mentioning how they switched to Ukrainian when Russia invaded, this is nothing but virtue signaling, and is not shared by everyone. Ironically, switching from Russian, which was your mother tongue to Ukrainian is in itself an act of Russophobia. It is basically switching to someone you are not naturally.

Even though there has been a lot of pressure put on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which maintains spiritual links with the Moscow Patriarch, I am not certain how successful it was. Clearly, religion cannot be the defining factor common to all Ukrainian nationalists. Many hardcore Ukrainian nationalists actually gravitate towards paganism and even satanism.

Not even the geographical or ethnic origin of the person is a defining characteristic of a Svidomite in this day and age. You have people of different ethnicities assuming the Ukrainian position, Jews, Koreans, Armenians and even ethnic Russians. Basically Ukraininism/Svidomism is not about your origins but rather your identification with the Ukrainian idea and that means the hatred of Russia because you cannot be pro-Ukrainian without it.

Russia is the other against which Ukraine defines itself…

I watched the above video by Münecat and she says some studies say UBI was used by young mothers to spend more time with the kids. And it made me think of a post I made recently. In the post I have pointed out that women often put their career ahead of motherhood. Women don’t juggle the two very well. But the question, would UBI provide them with extra cash for child care, or incentivize the women to have children?

Speaking of UBI, it all comes to certain ways of thinking we have about production and work. And it reminds me of a post that I did recently, which dealt with a similar issue but concerning currency. We appear to be stuck in rigid ways of thinking informed by a paradigm that might not really be applicable in the currently rapidly changing world. The UBI might be inevitable as much of the jobs will be lost to AI.

But will not giving everybody cash just cause services and goods to raise in price as the vendors will know everyone has cash on their hands. But then again, increased competition would drive the prices down. Does a UBI have to be inflationary? Not necessarily in my opinion…
