I have finally done my astrological calculations for a project that I am writing. It took me 5 years. That means my book project is coming along and I have also come to a close of my job contract so now I have ample time to dedicate to my own projects.

The psychologists talk about a deficit of an emotional competence, about the inability to identify and share pain. The psychologists than find the origins of anxiety, addiction, sometimes even narcissistic personality disorders. Why do you think men commit suicide 3 times as more likely than women? We never trully learn how to fail.
Narcissism is a fantastic defense mechanism. It originates from the attempt to defend your fragile ego from feelings of inadequacy. When you have a hole inside, you plug it in by iron and concrete. Studies about the so called dark triad of personal traits, that narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy show that such people tend to be highly successful at the beginning of their careers. They are self-confident, impressive, and charismatic. The people follow them because they radiate strength. But soon their mask begins to crumble. Charisma is being transformed into intimidation, confidence into arrogance, and the ability to decide, in compulsion control. Teams are breaking up, loyalty diminishes, atmosphere becomes tense. The studies speak clearly, toxic leadership increases stress, lowers productivity, and creates a space where fear becomes the basic currency. Such a governance is awaiting us now, Turek, Okamura, Babis. All of them are wounded men, fragile men, who became tyrants, because they cannot safely experience their fragility.
Which has began as a strategy of survival has become an instrument of domination. A wounded man with power is no longer fighting with his own pain. He is fighting everyone who reminds him of it. He needs to win because defeat means a touch with fragility. He needs to control because trust is too risky for him. He needs to be admired because otherwise he would have to feel the emptiness that he has within. That is why the lie, they steal, they scream, and everything they justify by their implied exceptionality, through which they however hide their fear from inner wounds.
And this is how a paradox is created which has the potential to destroy nations and the World. Men that are most yearning for love are creating around themselves an atmosphere, culture, society, where no love will save them. Because their defense is perfect and no feeling will enter their bunker. Only productivity, force, status remains. And the lost children within their souls rule over entire nations, corporations, even wars. Trump, Putin, Erdogan, Farage, Bolsonaro, Fico, Macinka, Klaus, Zeman.
Psychology calls this projection. We are often relegating onto others that which we do not want to see in ourselves. That’s why a wounded man often despise the weakness of others. They hate it because it reminds them of their own fear from weakness. He attacks it, mocks it, destroys it, and that’s how he maintains the illusion that he is above things. But the more he denies it, the more he needs it. And the circle is closing. When such a man becomes a leader, the system catches a disease. The toxicity is spreading just as reliably as a virus, people are adapting, they stop saying the truth, they are protecting themselves. A culture based on fear is surviving but doesn’t grow.
Societies led by these men are losing empathy, humor and even the ability to question things. The wounded individuals then transform entire nations into mirrors of their own pain. I have myself experienced this for instance in the National Institution for Mental Health, which was taken over by an absolutely toxic person and it took eight years to depose him and force him out of this scientific institution. And I have experience of this from many other places and organization, where you wouldn’t even expect it.
But it all begins with something apparently innocent: a boy that was told that boys don’t cry. Feelings are a weakness. He must be proud to be worthy. Nobody tried to explain to him that a real strength is not in invincibility but in the courage to be wounded. That to accept his wound is the first step to freedom. The way out does not lead through condemnation but through understanding. Wounded men are lost people. But while they do not learn to be in contact with their own fragility, they will hate fragility in others. And the world will become their hostage. The health of a society doesn’t probably begin with economy but if we allow our sons to cry. If we can transform the image of masculinity from the mask of strength to the courage to feel. And if we lean that the most dangerous beings are not those that hurt others because they are evil but those that hurt others because they cannot admit they are hurt.
And in the first place we men have to do something sound. Or we will destroy the World. That is a paradox, is it? That the highest potential to destroy the World is male fragility.
