This is a topic I wanted to cover for a while. Ukraine is a place where historians are not safe, especially if they cover certain sensitive topics such as WWII or national identity. Often for these individuals it means ostracism, and denied employment opportunities. However, some have paid the ultimate price…

The Case of Vitaly Maslovsky:

Vitaly Maslovsky was a historian educated in the Marxist Leninist tradition during the days of the Soviet Union. He worked in the Institute of Social Studies in Lvov until the early nineties, when he was sacked for publishing the book The Land Accuses about the deeds of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army in his native Halychyna, Western Ukraine. From then on, Maslovsky lived on a meagre disability allowance.

Nevertheless, he continued to work on monographs. In 1999, he published a book called: With whom and against whom did the Ukrainian nationalists fight during WWII, he published it in Moscow. Maslovsky was allegedly getting death threats because of his publications. On 26 October 1999, he was found dead in the staircase hall of the house he lived in. The death was caused by falling off the stairs. Some were wondering how the disabled Maslovsky was able to do such a jumping feat. Due to threats, his wife did not press charges. In 2005, the Jewish fund of Ukraine, posthumously published Maslovky’s monograph about Holocaust in Ukraine: The Holocaust of the Jews of Ukraine. the Beginning. Halychyna.

The Case of Oles’ Buzyna

Oles’ Buzyna is the most prominent individual listed here (he even has an English language Wikipedia entry). He was a moderately popular book author, journalist, and tv producer in Ukraine. Buzyna opposed Russophobia and held the opinion that Ukrainians are a regional variant of the Russian people, and the Russian element in Ukraine is not foreign, or a residue of a colonial rule. Buzyna is the author of The Resurrection of Little Russia, and I have a copy in my library.

This must now be banned literature in Ukraine…

Buzyna was shot outside his home by Neonazis. His murderers are known but nobody ever went to prison for it.

Arestovych: “Intellectual Occupation”

Continuing the topic of granteaters. The former speaker of Zelensky, Arestovych has been a little eloquent of late…

“Almost 90% of Ukrainian media existed thanks to grants.” -say the director of the Institute of mass information, Oksana Romanyuk.

Actually, this is called “intellectual occupation.”

They were so afraid of the physical that they voluntarily succumbed to the brain.

This means, that we, such beautiful and European, did not have independent media.

The humanities and the media in this country were taken over already in the nineties. In this hides the secret, why instead of the grand polycultural symphony of Ukraine, “humanities” began constructing an underground hideout of the UPA. (Ukrainian insurgent army -Bandera, Shukhevych and all this joy)

This is one of the causes of the war.

Therefore, when Biden had to buy Ukraine to Russia, he did not have to make much effort because everything was bought before him.

The main reason why Ukraine lost sovereignty is the unquenchable desire to live on somebody else’s dime.

Developing your own market of independent and profitable media is, of course boring and long.

It easier to just grab it.

Of course, nobody is willing to fight a tuberculosis epidemic in one’s country (in the twenty first century, this is an incredible embarrassment). (It should be noted here that fighting tuberculosis was also dependent on USAID)

It is easier to receive.

And then it suddenly becomes apparent that during the Biblical rift in the history of your country, during a time when it is uncertain if the country will survive, the brains of your citizens are leased to “independent media” already since 20 years ago.

And these are no longer brains and no longer your citizens.

The Ukrainian government has methodically created out of Ukraine a testing ground for trying various technologies of mass manipulation on the brains of its citizens.

There is no Ukrainian philosophy.

No Ukrainian history

No Ukrainian school of geopolitics

No independent media

There isn’t in a needed amount book publishers, art studies, critics, professional journals.

We don’t have an industry in Ukraine capable of fulfilling the article 25 of the UN Charter- that is the capability of a country to independently provide for its defense.

We only have the dismantling of monuments (in Ukraine a mass destruction of public monuments deemed to have association with Russia or the USSR is going on in Ukraine with renewed intensity)

…and rusted rods instead of “Antonov”, “Yuzhmash”, and “Nikolaev shipyards”.

And everything began so simply. We will take a little money for media, and we will so rational, good, eternal.

And voila, after twenty years we lack sovereignty.

And now we don’t have media.

Collecting donations has began.

Most of these media outlets will not survive (Thanks God) because the feeding frenzy has ended and the World is moving to the right.

The Biden administration spent $50 million on condoms for Gaza. (By the way, Hamas inflated the condoms into balloons and attached explosives to them)

It would interesting to find out how much they spent in Ukraine, does anyone have exact numbers?

Now they will be cast away because they are useless.

Again we are not solving our problems, American, or just others.

We have to put an end to this if we want sovereignty.

In my New Ukraine the cultural budget would be equal to the military (Russia is aiming to impose a military austerity on Ukraine, which would mean Ukraine’s military budget would be very small)

We will support publishing houses, arts, critics, journals, science, education, we will created a market of independent, in the real sense of the word, media. (there aren’t any independent media in this world, they are either oligarch owned, state controlled, or oligarch/state sponsored)

After that you will Ukrainian space program and science will again appear.

And certainly there will appear a citizen with well formed brain and not brainwashed.

Otherwise Ukraine will not have a reason to exist.

P.S. I have never had any deals with grants but when see that the work of rehabilitation centers, veteran hubs, there are problems at independent media, then I completely don’t understand some of my fellow countrymen.

This is an attack on Ukrainians in the first place, on the energy sector, our economy. Only the Russians or some other enemy can be happy about.

One can ask how are these media independent if they depend on USAID grants. It is sad that various institutions in Ukraine cannot function without USAID money. Maybe the Eurocucks can help. 😆

Speaking of which, Sternenko is not telling the complete story, when he says he was never a beneficiary of grants, he was definitely a beneficiary of the granteating infrastructure created in Ukraine. This was recorded on 5 February 2022, and gives and answer to the question: “Do Ukrainians want war?” Anyone crying about unprovoked Russian aggression should realize that the Ukrainians were preparing to seize the separatist territory by force, and if it wasn’t for Russian intervention, this would have happened, and then Crimes would be in danger. Now Russia has a land-bridge to Crimea and access to the waters of the Dnieper. Russia however has to have an entire control over the Black Sea coast and the Dnieper river, and better yet all of Ukraine with a subsequent massive purge of the Nazis.

The West has been sponsoring outright Neonazis and their enablers in Ukraine. Trump should put a stop to this, at least when it comes to the US government. This is absolutely reprehensible, immoral, despicable…

What is going to happen to Ukrainian media and civic organizations after grant support from the US gets halted?

We don’t know honestly.

Medical services, the repairs on a critical infrastructure, fight against corruption all this hangs in the balance after the decision of the State Department.

Large part of our work is financed through USAID. Whether the financing return in 90 days is not known. And now donations from an extra source will become key.

So, a time has come to find out whether the Ukrainian society needs us? And whether our audience values us?

Hromad’ske was the medium of the Euromaidan, it was founded in Autumn 2013, right before the Maidan and its heyday had a large foreign sponsorship. I am surprised anyone watches it today, and it makes me wonder how much did USAID give them since they are this distraught?

In its better years Hromad’ske featured such characters like Butkevich and Bohdan Kutepov.

Donbasophopia was a thing in pre-Maidan Ukraine, genocide talk was a thing on Hromad’ske. That goes to the question of “Do Ukrainians want war?” First they were like “we have to kill the wastemen of Donbas” but once Donbas rose up in rebellion, they were all like Skhid, Zakhid Razom (East, West together) and Edyna Krayina (United Country). Today they are all saying Russia is conducting a genocide against them. Dumb…

Crowd Funded Helicopter for Ukraine

So, an initiative called Dárek pro Putina (present for Putin) is trying to collect money for a Black Hawk helicopter that would be used by Ukrainian special forces, and will be provided though channels in the ministry of defense.

So, the campaign is on for like a month, and the target is over 100 million CZK. As you can see they have so far collected a handful of the sum. I would have thought this campaign was hyped up enough because I see it all over X and Facebook.

2024 update. Seems like they are saving around 1000 CZK, so this way they will finance the helicopter in 120 days. So perhaps by summer, the helicopter might become a target for Russian air defense.

The above post made me check upon the funding of Čestmír as it was intended for operations such as the one described above.

Čestmír has collected on 4 million CZK from the last time I updated this post, which was in late January. That is not even a half needed to purchase it. I thought there would be much more enthusiasm for it…

There isn’t much enthusiasm for this crowdfunding project. They have only collected two million CZK from March.

They now have a new project up, which is getting much more attention. They want to buy ten tons of plastic explosives.

Update Summer 2024:

The fundraiser failed, and they will find a cheaper helicopter…

Čestmír is a helicopter which will hopefully soon fight against Orcs in Ukraine and is now subject of a fundraiser.

We are close from the moment when the Czechs will send a Black Hawk helicopter to Ukraine. We have a cheaper and newer machine, which Ukraine needs. Let us finish what we began together and send Čestmír into battle against Dark Imperium.

Trump is threatening the most sanctioned country with new sanctions.

Trump thinks the Russian economy would suffer so much if the oil dropped in price. That could be true but since the new prime minister, Mishustin, Russia became much more effective at filling its budget through taxes rather than oil incomes.

Murica is pushing for the war to end and this is commendable but Russia is on the march, there is no indication they should accept a settlement. They should not accept anything but a full, unconditional, capitulation from the Zelensky regime, and a peace treaty should be signed with a government that comes out of elections.

Putin says that if Trumps 2020 reelection wasn’t stolen, the war would not have started. In the recent elections he endorsed Kamala. 😆

Ukrs Are Complaining There is No Ukraine in Civ 7

There has never been any Czechia, not even as a city state, nobody wrote cringe like this…

The Philippines!?, which was under the rule of Spain, then Japan, then the USA and only in 1946 became finally independent – found a place in Civilization 7. However, Ukraine still does not… because the developers are still obsessed with the mysterious Russian soul.
