The Czech Central bank bought $ 1 million in BTC and some stable coins (tokenized USD basically) for its testing lab. The governor, Aleš Michl earlier said that Czechia should establish a BTC reserve. But I guess then Christine Lagarde called and they all got spooked, and so they are now cautious like this. Better than nothing though, it might be expanded in the future.
Explain to me please what values is Ukraine representing. Values of Nazi collaborator rehabilitation? Values of radical nationalism? Values of Stepan Bandera? Values of Church persecution? Values of censorship? Values of busifikatsia? Please tell me again how Ukraine represents democracy, peace, European unity?
By refusing to play by the European Union’s restrictive climate rules, Poland has begun to build one of Europe’s most energy-secure economies. While much of the bloc marches in lockstep toward a self-inflicted economic wound called “net zero,”
At the heart of Poland’s defiance is a steadfast refusal to abandon coal, the bedrock of its energy system. In 2024, coal, oil, and natural gas accounted for more than 85% of total primary energy supply, the highest share in the EU. Coal alone generated 55% of the nation’s electricity in 2024, powering homes, factories, and businesses.
Maciej Bando, Poland’s deputy climate minister, has been unequivocal on this point: “I have no doubt that coal units will be needed in the system until they are naturally replaced by nuclear power plants.”
The idea that you can power a modern industrial economy with intermittent and unreliable sources of energy like wind and solar is a dangerous fantasy. Poland must be careful to not follow the examples of Germany and the United Kingdom, where domination of power grids by wind and solar has resulted in unstable power supplies, surging imports, and unaffordable power prices.
The green deal fantasies of the EU would have been quite disastrous for Poland. I am glad they have the balls to defy the EU, at least somebody in this region has some common sense. I wonder if they will be able to build few nuclear reactors. But they built autobahn everywhere, so I am optimistic.
Imagine this, EU citizens weren’t let into the EU by another EU member because they travelled from Russia…
This is why I am mentioning this, I am not a communist, I am the most capitalist person you have ever met. To the point that even far right types would hate what I am doing.
But really, Czech commies, who were on WWII pilgrimage in Russia weren’t let into the EU. Meanwhile, Ahmed and Ugga Booga are let into the EU without even being citizens. Make this make sense?
So, Timmy starts his discussion with saying “Vienna was a place where nations were created…” and it made me think of my concept of Austrian voodoo. Ideologies of the twentieth century that rose out of late Habsburg Austria. 🇦🇹 The late Austrian government for instance supported Ukrainian nationalism. Hitler was also active in Vienna at the time. The European Union is the brainchild of Calergi, an Austrian noble.
On X or Telegram you cannot follow RT or Sputnik as they are under sanctions. Luckily I still follow stuff I used to follow back in the days on YouTube on Telegram today, X is also kinda free…
That’s why you have weasels like Thierry Breton threatening Elon Musk and X. Christine Laggard hates BTC. I am glad I live in Czechia, which does not have the Euro, and where the governor of the central bank can contemplate BTC reserve. And this is why I oppose the EU. EU is against freedom and redundant. We don’t need the EU to have a customs union and the Schengen Agreement providing for free movement of people isn’t exactly the EUs work.
