We will have salaries like the Germans

Our prime minister says that if we elect him for another 4 years, we will have salaries like the Germans…

You will have salaries like the Germans, and in Winter I invite you to Africa to do black women!

“Salaries like in Germany. We don’t want that here!” It is typical that positive vision in this country qalways finds grumpy critics and insecure skeptics. But we all know that the Czechs are not willing to ask for a raise and often have a fear of changing employers. It is simple, if you will not have grand ambitions, our wages will be those like in Agrofert. (The last one is a company of Andrej Babiš, Fiala’s biggest political opponent). Some people might like this but this will not lead anywhere.

What am I doing to achieve it? My government actively invests into future. The next year’s budget is the evidence. We are trying to restart Czechia, and we are building key infrastructure, which was missing here for very long, and we can attract foreign investors. Our country will be a centre of chip making in Europe, thanks to a record investment by Onsemi.

This is a road to higher wages and an economy with high added value. We need to have confidence, and grand plans and we shouldn’t be afraid to talk about them. Otherwise the atmosphere in our country will not change. And with it the future will also not change. And I don’t want this.

Guys, we will probably reach parity with the Germans in terms of salaries. Germany is in decline, and their economy is faltering. The danger is, us Czechs will be dragged down together with the Germans. But even if you have German income in Czechia, I certainly do, what can you buy with it? Food in Czech shops is lower quality and costs more than in Germany. Parking lots around shops in German border towns are filled with cars with Czech license plates. So, my friend, you will still be living in Czechia just with more money. Also, more money with people will inflate prices, like rents. More money means businessmen will try to find ways to take it from the people.

Astrophobia

Found an interesting video on YouTube. In it, the author describes how terrifying the space is. How inhospitable to life it is. How it cannot support the same audiovisual experience that we have here on Earth 🌍 because our bodies have adapted to living in the Earth’s atmosphere. The space is an uninviting, hostile place, and it is empty. Where are the aliens? The Fermi paradox stipulates that there is a high disparity between the lack of evidence for advanced extraterrestrial life, and the high probability of its existence. But we have found a whole book worth of exoplanets and few, if any seem capable of supporting life.

But enough with the spoilers, watch the video for yourself. I found it a bit boring towards the middle but I watched it to the end. It made me think of something else. For many centuries, people adhered to the geocentric view of the universe. This is expressed in the thought of Aristotle and Claudius Ptolemy. And it dawned on me that it is a psychologically safe position, and the opposition towards any notions of heliocentrism since antiquity until Galileo were deep down nothing but copes.

Armillary Sphere created for Ferdinand I of Medici in the sixteenth century showing Earth in the middle…

It is profoundly unsettling if you think that this is a unique World between a massive thermonuclear reactor, the Sun and a huge mass of gasses with extreme gravitational pull, the Jupiter. The Sun however, provides warms, it makes the plants grow. Jupiter’s gravitational pull on the other hand saves our puny asses from the asteroids of the Belt, and probably has some bearing on rotation of the Earth and maybe even human consciousness. Astrologers see Jupiter as the great benefic, and the Sun, while providing life, giving your ass vitamin D, is also a destructive force. But otherwise the vastness of Space is empty and mute, and if you find a spec of matter, it is likely hostile to life.

If you ask me, I am not so thrilled by Elon Musk’s plans to build a city on Mars. Why would you even move to space? There are untapped riches ripe for the taking. But you would best served to enjoy what you make here on Earth, here is not only home, here is your natural habitat. I don’t know what life in reduced gravity, absence of vitamins, closed controlled environments, might do to your body and soul. Transhumanism becomes relevant in this instance. If your natural shell is not enough for life in adverse conditions then perhaps enhancement is in order. I don’t know, can consciousness exist outside the body? Then we can fit it in constructs immune to the adversities of space.

Our Dependence on the Big Tech

The life of tenants on the big tech plantation…

My ex girlfriend told me her mother’s shop got deleted from Facebook. Her mother is not a notorious troll like me so I wonder what happened. The algorithm could have fucked up. It could have been a glitch because I heard other people got randomly deleted from Facebook for no reason at all. This is a pit fall of these online businesses, it is good when it works, and totally sucks when they cut you off.

My short term rentals are dependent on Booking and AirBNB. I am totally paranoid about maintaining good relations with these platforms. I am writing a book and will be dependent on Amazon for distribution, and social media for propagation. Number of books have been banned on Amazon for ideological reasons, and I have to be extra careful what I write, self censorship.

What are the methods of dealing with this? Can the state be a champion of the citizens in litigation with these large transnational platforms? Do you think our leaders are up to the task? Do you think Keir Starmer, Petr Fiala, or Olaf Scholz will have your back? 😆

Fucking Right and Fucking Left

The left-right dichotomy should have been abandoned in eighteenth century…

I will always be a rightoid. My political views have not changed very much. I believe that free market is the key to wealth. People should be allowed to make money, keep that money, and invest that money. Taxes should be low, or non-existent. They should gather just as much to pay for security and healthcare. Security means police force and defense, which is the key to prosperity. And healthcare increases the human capital of the country. Although, the country needs a large private healthcare sector that would provide exclusive care.

We could also add education but in many places publicly funded education sucks ass. Parents hire private tutors, wealthier individuals send their kids to private schools. In Murica, where students pay exuberant tuition, the universities are research centers, they have museums with ancient artifacts. Here in Czechia, universities suck ass. This is why I want private education. Most public schools are places where parents drop their kids and the latter are then subjected to trans propaganda instead of learning.

Socially, I am not so much concerned with Christian morality but I do not like LGBT. I hate the fact that nobody talks about the dark side of this phenomenon out of fear of being labeled a homophobe. But my friends, monkeypox, HIV, kids on puberty blockers, drag queen story hours with child molesters, defense of pedophilia, this shit needs to stop! I find most forms of Feminism to be demented and evil and I have personally very bad experiences of working with women. I have been ratted out to my superiors by bitches numerous times, and have suffered female superiors for so long, I came to the conclusion that the best place for a woman is in the kitchen feeding the kids. Feminism has done a number on Western society, and it needs to stop! No compromise!

I am not a nationalist, nationalism belongs to the nineteenth century. I am myself a mixture of 4 European nationalities and I view nationalism to be something parochial. But I am also an immigration skeptic. My mother is an immigrant and my eighteenth century ancestor was an immigrant into this country but I see the dark side of immigration. Nevertheless, Ukrainian war refugees welcome! We had it coming. Globalization benefits the common man, it makes goods cheaper. I do not like economic nationalism, I am a globalist for the good of the people.

The origins:

So what are the origins of my bigoted opinions? The idea of left and right comes from the French Revolution, where the right stood for the Ancien Régime, the king and the left stood for liberal reforms that would favor the bourgeoisie. The old aristocracy lived off of their estates, collected rent, and didn’t work, and the bourgeoisie made money from trade and manufacturing, and soon eclipsed the nobility in wealth. Today the classical liberals would be considered far right by many. In France the political scene fractured into Republicans, Bourbon supporters, and Bonapartist supporters. Each had its own liberal and conservative streak.

In mid-nineteenth century another social group clamored for emancipation. The working class. Not only is this the time of the abolition of slavery and serfdom but also the rapid urbanization and industrialization. A smelly degenerate, Karl Marx wrote about the plight of the workers, and called for class struggle. The workers were to take the means of production and build a communist utopia. Already towards the late nineteenth century, a more mild strain of socialist has appeared, especially in Western Europe.

Throughout the nineteenth century, another ideological current has appeared. Nationalism! Nationalism is a completely modern invention, pre-modern people had little in way of national consciousness. Countries were a patchwork of various counties and princedoms, with different identities, linguistic and cultural. For instance, France was a place, where every region had its own language or dialect. Germany was full of little countries with differing German vernaculars, and the same applies to just about any country in Europe. Nationalists either sought to unite these disparate regions into one, or liberate themselves from the dominance of another nation. The nation provided a new sense of common identity in a world, where the authority of religion was seriously challenged.

Nationalism culminated in two world wars in the first half of the twentieth century. Socialists and anarchists attempted to sway the working class from nationalism. The workers should have realized their own true enemy, which is the bourgeoisie. The Fascists were originally those socialists that did not buy into the internationalist “workers of the world unite”, and instead embraced nationalism. The question is, is Nationalism right or left. On one hand it is a completely modern phenomenon that did not exist in pre-modernity and yet it draws on primordial symbols that originate in pre-modernity or are based on essentialism like race. The Italian, Spanish, or Hungarian regimes in the inter-war period coexisted with monarchies. In different national contexts, nationalism latches on to different ideologies. Like Czech nationalism was liberal, and Ukrainian nationalism was rather socialist.

Strangely enough, WWI gave rise to another identitarian movement, the Woke. Also known as the Cultural Marxism, where the working class is replaced by racial minorities, society’s freaks and women. The bourgeoisie loves this, and they love it even more than nationalism now. The horrors of WWII have kind of discredited the latter. The latter gets sometimes drawn out of the closet, like in Ukraine but the latter is an exception. This shifting of focus from class struggle to cultural struggle is a device the bourgeoisie uses to manage the working class. They have successfully shifted the focus of Occupy Wall Street from bankers to negroes and transexuals. In Ukraine, if you opposed the oligarchs or the EU, you would get your head kicked in by Neonazi thugs. See the similarities? Cui bono?

By the way, did you know that the Frankfurt School was always heavily supportive of Western imperialism, like the intervention in Vietnam? This is why you see cretinous libshits all supporting Ukraine now. This is a left-wing capitalism basically. 😆

So where is it now?

I would therefore crystallize several broad ideologies from this…

Conservative (broadly speaking) – This can comprise anything from Classical liberal, Tradcon, Libertarian, Fash. They usually represent like a fringe type that the other parties form a cordon sanitaire against, see the Austrian Freedom Party. If they are a little bit more hardcore, they will have the secret service on their ass, see any Neonazi or radical conservative movement in Czechia or Germany. I have been a member of this right-libertarian party here in Czechia, and the way they were doing things was absolute autism.

You are never going to get anywhere like this boys!

Liberals: This is the dominant ideology in the West, it can be a bit more right wing pro-business, or more socialist, raising your taxes, they all believe in negro and homo worship. You are a bad person if you don’t.

Tankies – Traditional leftists, they are kind of rare.

Any political party is kind of a combination of these three. You vote for a presumably right-wing party here in Czechia and they raise taxes. They talk about how they will challenge the dictate of the EU but will do everything the EU tells them when in power. Their MEPs vote differently than their MPs and Senators. In municipalities they are best buddies with members of completely opposite political parties. Liberal democracy sucks a nasty smelly dick. It is a con game.

And it is not the best system out there. Plenty of autocracies provide their people with ample economic freedoms, and a quality of life unimaginable in liberal democracies. Although it begs a question of what actually is an autocracy? And why is the latter bad? Like honestly, democracy and autocracy have their pitfalls. The pitfall of democracy is short-termism, the politicians elected only think of how to be elected again, or how to enrich themselves. In autocracy, the leader can be a moron. But can you guarantee the people you elect will not be morons?

I am done here, this is getting too long…

The West Promised USSR Not to Expand NATO

Not expanding NATO was honored until Lolita Island, Clinton. Faggots will say, Russia never signed any such treaty but there is such a thing as gentleman’s word. NATO is an alliance directed against Russia because Russia cannot be a part of NATO. The problem is NATO does not only protect the East European countries from Russia as is commonly thought, it also increases the testicles of the East European pipsqueaks and their willingness to conflict with Russia.

These poodles have lost their survival senses. Besides, East European Russophobia is the direct consequence of NATO membership. Somehow, Russia was not a threat in the nineties when they were not in NATO but it suddenly became when they are in NATO. Some prospective NATO countries like Georgia even had the balls to fight Russia head on. Same with Ukraine actually. They all thought they have NATO on their side. NATO membership will cost Finland a lot of money. A completely unnecessary expense as Finland faced no threat from Russia while remaining neutral.

Europeans are faced with a phantom Russian menace and extra expenses for military. The Americans are no longer keen on protecting them, and demand the European carry their own weight. Rearmament will be costly on the background of economic decline that is very much caused by the disintegration of trade with Russia. Not to mention, Eurocucks will get hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian refugees. It will cost more to integrate them than the economic benefits they will bring.

Weighing Assets

This is not a financial advice but let me share my experience with different investment assets…

Rental property: Most of my income comes from various living spaces. Two long term rentals, and a short term airBNB. The two long term rentals are in a metropolitan area, where many come to study and work, whereas short term airBNB is in a rural area. Property is a good investment but all depends on the location and type.

The government is very concerned about housing. And this can be good and bad. On one hand, you are viewed as an evil exploitative landlord, and the government will punish you with taxes and rent controls, but the government also supports tenants that struggle to pay the rent. This means that you will get money even in the darkest times like the Covid lockdown.

The Covid lockdowns have put a lot of people on home office, and many companies realized this is more profitable than maintaining an office in the downtown. Also home office workers take fewer sick days. They don’t care about that sneeze or cough, and will do some work. Naturally office space is struggling, commercial real estate is not experiencing its best days with all the online sales.

Real estate’s profitability is dependent on market forces. My airBNB is very seasonal, summer months bring the most revenue and winter months are rather poor. People come here for cycling and sightseeing. I opened the thing after Covid, Covid would have been shit. Governments are not keen on these short term rentals, I have to have a business licence and pay the municipality. Big cities might have even more regulations. But you can collect many times more money than from long term rentals.

I have mostly experience with residential. There are also things like agricultural land. Not all land is created equal, and the yields might vary. Real estate is a pretty stable form of income but it is prone to third party risk and cannot be moved to another jurisdiction. Population collapse, the die off of boomers, AI driven construction could cheapen properties, and this makes it an unstable storer of value. Inheritance tax is another thing that makes it impossible to build wealth over generations with property. Finally, selling a property might take months, it is highly illiquid.

Stocks: I was trying many jobs and for a time I was a financial advisor, that is a haughty title for a financial instrument peddler. I did not succeed but at least I learned about index funds, and later I learned on my own about ETFs, and I invest in both. I don’t know where this will take me. I want to have several millions of CZK worth of stocks. Stocks are very dependent on markets, they are prone to booms and busts. So when times are good, your portfolio grows, and when they suck, it falls.

Bonds: I keep very little money in bonds. In fact I have this index fund linked to this financial instrument that “invests spare change”. The fund is formed of mostly CZK denominated bonds and the yield is 6-8%. People consider government bonds to be a safe investment, after all the government prints the money. But safe does not mean profitable, the riskier the shit the greater the dividend usually. The dodgier the government, the higher the interest rate.

BTC: Around 2019, I watched this Czech YouTuber that explained Bitcoin. And I invested £100 into it. I am a messy person and lost my hardware wallet. But few years later I found it, and my investment of £100 was now £500. I decided this year to invest regularly into BTC. BTC has a fixed supply, and seems like a good storer of value. Some people say it is going to the moon. Some are afraid that it is prone to hacking with the help of AI. I don’t have the knowledge to judge any of these claims. I put money that I do not immediately need into it and let the fate work its way.

I am a BTC maximalist, all other cryptocurrencies are shit coins, so if you want to invest in whatever, only BTC. BTC does not have a known founder, nobody has ever seen Satoshi Nakamoto; everybody has seen Vitalik Buterin. The BTC protocol is fixed, nobody can temper with it. The supply is fixed, unlike with ETH or whatever other cryptocurrency. Besides, there is no need for another cryptocurrency.

Another thing is liquidity. This is the most liquid asset out there in my opinion. It is traded all the time. Stocks depend on the exchanges they are traded at, gold also needs to be sold to buyers in person. You can cash in your BTC in an instant. Also BTC can be used as payment method, and it can be used as collateral for fiat loans. There are also credit cards that facilitate payments using BTC, and other cryptocurrencies.

Gold: In my opinion gold is the only precious metal worth investing into. Gold is scarce, and it does not rust. Silver depreciates under the elements, and is much more abundant. Unlike silver, the government does not tax gold purchases here in Czechia. Gold has an inflation rate of 2% annually (in 1941 it was 4%, wonder why). And I am fearing that at one point, somebody might find an asteroid full of gold and knock the price down. Maybe at that point I would buy some gold bars. But I missed my chance and now gold is at all time high.

Because gold is tangible some think it is better than BTC. But its tangibility is a liability. My house got broken into once, and while I have a safe box downstairs deep in the basement to store things like that, I am still not very satisfied. The liquidity of gold is dependent on a service of gold vendors that would send a van and pick up your bars, otherwise you have to drive yourself to a vendor or exchange. If you are an institution, with facilities to store your treasure, go ahead but I am a small time retail investor. You can also keep your gold with a third party custodian, much like I do with stocks. Again, this is about a service, and what suits you. But they take a commission.

Ultimately, I invest in whatever I imagine is good at the moment, and I invest whatever money I imagine I can invest. I walk through this life and create different streams of income because my ass is Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in the second. And my opinion on them shifts all the time as my knowledge increases…

Hybrid Biodiesel Cars

We cannot have nice things…

I drove a Toyota hybrid around Jordan and it was a great experience. It was really fuel efficient. And an idea has occurred to me. We consume a lot of vegetable oil and seed oil, and that shit makes the food crispier and tastier but it is not very good for you. Fast food restaurants generate a lot of frying oil sludge, which too can be made into fuel.

The oils could be further refined into cleaner and more efficient combustibles, cars could be fitted with filters, and this way you can reduce pollutants. You could also reduce traffic in cities, I have nothing against this idea. Humans need to walk.

Why do governments aggressively push EVs? EVs suck ass. This is a proof that our politicians know jack shit about how stuff works. They represent lobbyists. They claim they wanna control the weather, stop global warming. Now, if they wanna reduce dependence on oil, there might be more efficient ways.

Hail Destroyed Solar Farm in Texas

Context

“My concern is the hail damage that came through and busted these panels – we now have some highly toxic chemicals that could be potentially leaking into our water tables,” Needville resident Nick Kaminski told Fox affiliate KRIV-TV.

To be honest, such a solar array in fields is a crime. I don’t know that the suitability of the land for agriculture is but at least it could be habitat for wildlife. A meadow for butterflies, a ground for rodents, a hunting ground for canines, and felines, and birds of prey. Big ass beasts can eat grass and shit on the bugs.

You know, solar panels could be built on roofs in the cities. If there was a good scheme where I could sell the electricity generated on my roof into the grid. A scheme in which I would watch money rolling into my account. I would get those panels, and I would even get batteries to supply the grid at night. But alas there is no such shit in Czechia.

Installing solar panels makes no fucking sense in this part of the world. We get no sunlight and the days in winter are short. Only nuclear reactors are the answer if you don’t want to burn coal. I don’t see anything wrong with burning coal if the process is controlled. The powers that be want us to stop burning wood. If they really plan to do it, they would have to enforce it, and I am telling you, they will not come out of here alive. We will burn them in the stove with the wood. 🪵

Food, Energy, Money

Somebody posted this quote on Facebook…

Maybe that’s why the EU tries to regulate agriculture, and energy, tries to control the money with a single currency. Food was the main concern for governments in the ancient world. Just read plaques in cuneiform to get the idea.

Energy was for the most history slave labor and horse power, only the Industrial Revolution introduced new forms of energy such as hydrocarbons and electricity. Bitcoin is based on energy. Production requires energy. Modern society requires energy. Light go out, civilization goes out.

Money is the medium of exchange, pricing and money supply are important for the exchange of goods. BRICS wants its own exchanges, its own financial system. The Russians and Chinese are both on it.

Somehow countries (not all countries) became conscious of these important components of civilization. Russia for instance became a net exporter of food in 2016. The West is finally coming around the fact they need to build nuclear, ☢️ renewables are not going to cut it in the brave new world of AI and electric everything.

But one only wonders what took them this long?
