Slovakia has introduced a law that limits the financing of NGOs from abroad. In Eastern Europe; such laws are ubiquitously called “Russian law”. This started in Georgia, when the ruling Georgian Dream party introduced something similar. Russia introduced a law on foreign agents following 2011 protests, they modeled this law on the American Foreign Agents Registration Act. “Russian law” plays on local Russophobia.
Every country needs a Russian law…
As you probably know, Fico’s “friendly“ attitude to Moscow, and his rejection of the unified EU front in the war against Russia through Ukraine, caused people with EU flags to come out in protest. Basically, their slogan is solidarity with Ukraine and globohomo, and nothing else….
It was defaced by pro-Ukrainian scum. Thousands of Soviets, many of them Ukrainians died liberating Czechoslovakia. The “often political rather than biological” descendants of Ukrainian Nazi collaborators and their demented neoliberal supporters vandalize and remove the memory of this sacrifice.
This anti-Fico hate is one of the stupidest campaigns ever. Fico went to Moscow and got gas for Slovakia. He has earned so much hate from the globohomo shills in Slovakia that have organized mass protests with EU and Ukraine flags, accusing Fico of collaborating with Moscow, betrayal of Ukraine, and European identity of Slovakia.
Fico was recently in the US, at CPAC and spoke to Elon Musk about tariffs he does everything for Slovakia.
So, everybody is rejoicing that Poland did not allow the Slovaks to fly over their territory…

But nobody asks why Czechia, Germany, Sweden and Latvia had no issues with this? Also, I don’t understand the hysteria generated by the Slovaks talking to Putin, to whom are they a traitor? Good relations with Russia are in the economic interest of Eastern European countries.

Some politicians in Slovakia are not happy with the government unilaterally importing the Russian vaccine and think this needs an approval of the EU. It is however their choice to reject Russian vaccine and appeal to EU standards. Putin didn’t make them, and if he did, he has extraordinary powers.
