There is an Euromaidan going on. The Georgian government has offended European Values by instituting a foreign agents law, and refusing to engage in talks with Brussels over ascension. There are protests, and Western countries are threatening sanctions. Some dramatic images are coming from that country.

Rocket 🚀 launcher is epic as fuck though. Sadly, I side with the Georgian government. Governments cannot be weak in the face of rabble. The latter would do as they wish. They should take cue from Hong Kong and Belarus. They should call Carrie Lam and ask her how to be with sanctions, and they should call Lukashenko and ask him how to disappear people without trace. They need to deal with this shit.

The Georgian government did nothing wrong. Every country needs foreign agents law. We need to kick Soros out (sadly it is not just Soros that needs to go). Georgia and other countries need to get a grip on their relationship with the EU. Bet you, Georgia is more dependent on Russia and Azerbaijan than any EU nation. (The closest EU nations are Bulgaria, Romania, and Cyprus, none border Georgia) I have actually been at Georgia-Russia border and saw the trucks moving in and out. I saw the same place I visited on the news in 2022 during the exodus of bugmen from Russia.

UPD: The Georgian government alleges that one third of protesters are foreign nationals.

Church the Landlord

Organized religion in Czechia works like a business…

Guys, the Catholic Church has sway over like 10% of the Czech population, and Czech Protestants are a marginal phenomenon. But little did I realize is that the Catholic Church is like a big landlord in Prague.

According to Seznam, the Catholic Church wants to become a major player in the rental market. The Archdiocese of Prague already owns 300 flats costing 2 billion CZK, which is around 87 million USD. They are planning to buy another 550.

The Catholic Church was recently a beneficiary of so called Church restitutions, whereby properties confiscated by the Communist regime were returned back to organization. The properties were often in sorry state and the assets had to be restructured and made profitable. By 2030, the Czech government should stop the state sponsorship of Churches, and they will have to find other means to sustain themselves. Given the low religiosity of the people tithes are not an option.

I wish Elon all the luck. He seems to aim at making things more affordable, more efficient. Not that it always works out. There is no hyperloop but I hear Boring Company managed to make digging more affordable. Space X reduced the cost of delivering payloads to the orbit. Starlink seems to be a success, and the Starship is on its way to becoming a viable technology. There is some hype about Tesla phones.

I would buy one and return to X with it… Elon has the potential to revolutionize the way studios produce games. It might as well be hype like a lot of things about Elon.

Elon also got pissed off recently over a recent publication by Jason Tondro, the lead designer on D&D chastising the original authors of D&D for insensitive language.

I hear that D&D isn’t exactly profitable as an IP for Hasbro. And Hasbro does crazy things to earn some dollars from it.

I don’t wanna imply anything, I don’t see inside the kitchens of either Hasbro or Larian. It is sad that we will not have any more D&D games made by Larian. That is ultimately what interests me, not the inside games of corporations. Why doesn’t Elon buy D&D from Hasbro?

What I was always baffled is that game studios gave in to feminist critics and started making women in their games ugly. Feminists do not represent the women at large, they represent an ideology of power. Some feminists believe sexualisation of women in entertainment and advertising is male patriarchal exploitation of the female body. If you wanna appeal to women, you need sexy bitches with big tits that kick some ass. Personally, I don’t like playing a female character.

Hinkey Point C was slapped with 7000 regulations making it the most expensive reactor of its kind. You might have seen the propaganda about nuclear being too expensive. It is expensive because of all the regulations, none of which make the installations more safer.

At lease the Italians get more sun and can heat their boilers with solar panels.
