Russia is bombing Ukraine every five minutes. They are planning a positioning control that will be impervious to any existing jammers.
So, in my last post I spoke about the twilight of the heavy tank. Ukrainians are reporting that the Russians have changed tactics. They are now pummeling Ukrainian positions with glide bombs and are using sabotage groups that infiltrate behind the enemy lines and specifically seek out Ukrainian drone operators to destroy them. Something like that happened in the town of Druzhkovka. I first found the video above but then the same was said on the Euromaidan Press. Further I found a post in Armádní Zpravodaj. The Russians are developing an AI driven positioning that will bypass any existing electronic jammers. Russia employs glide bombs more now that Ukraine has a shortage of air defense.
The sabotage groups behind the lines would require a well trained and well equipped special forces. I don’t know how much it takes to create such a squad but Russia could create a whole army of such groups. The glide bombs as I mentioned benefit from the absence of air defense that allows the Russian aviation to operate relatively unhindered but imagine if there was a dense air defense present, how effective would this tactic be? The glide bombs however can be launched from a long distance with an information retrieved from spy satellites.

Sabotage groups ain’t anything new. Most of the armies would have a trained diversion groups and the best one would be picked into saboteurs.
The reason why Russia can use them these days is that Ukraine doesn’t have enough of soldiers to cover the whole line. So it’s FAB to force them to stay underground and while suppressed saboteurs pass by. If lines were properly manned Russians would still need to use tanks here and there. Mostly as fire support tho.
However the big change I noticed is lack of the videos of artillery, before you could see destroyed artillery piece on daily basis. But i don’t see those anymore. And it’s not that they’re gone, every now and then there’s “successful” artillery fire reported. Maybe they got better in hiding it, or is it used sparsely.
