  1. This reminds me of the whole “China will collapse” talking points from Gordon Chang. I believe I’ve read it before on one of the articles on Sina I believe, that the main problem with US approach to China is how they rely way too much on anti-government diaspora crowds as well as the anti-Beijing type of Hong Kongers and Taiwanese. A lot of their words are not reliable, as they already got so much personal sentiment against Beijing over one reason or another. It hinders their ability to remain objective and cause them to base their assessment on make-belief fact and therefore, it’s rarely accurate. I guess it applies to Russia too.

    1. In America, Russia discourse is mostly formed by Russian Jews that have an axe to grind with Russia since the pogroms. Also Putin disposed oligarchs most of whom were Jews and this had reverberations in their community. Protests against Putin in 2010s were very Jew dominated. They eventually had to tone it down and found a token goy Navalny.

      1. It’s annoying to deal with on a personal basis, as you have to explain it to some opinionated Muricans who most likely refuse to listen and Chinese diaspora in general, both pro-Beijing and anti-Beijing alike, are passive AF. You kinda need a thick skin and a one-man army attitude just not to be driven nuts. But from a political point of view, it’s actually kind of an advantage. If they keep relying on false info, then they won’t know what they’re dealing with. I guess this is part of the reasons why China focus so little on breaking things down with Muricans, on top of the whole ” no matter what we say, they probably won’t listen anyways”….i mean at this point, the ones who will listen are already on China’s side anyways.

It’s a more pragmatic way to go about it I guess, but I prefer a bit more mindfucking done to get some social rejects on our side.

      2. I think the best strategy is to just expose the various frauds and hacks by creating content that exposes them. My posts on Jakub Janda are shared to this day. As he started making inroads to Taiwan, people share the shit out of it and it is one of the most visited posts on this site for several years.
