Dragon Age: Veilguard has shown how servile and totally lacking any objectivity game journalists are. Journalists have devolved into propagandists pushing political ideologies, and no longer provide objective information. This role has shifted to online podcasts on YouTube and other platforms. If I want to find out about a game, I watch gameplay online, and see if this is anything I wanna play. I don’t need a review in IGN to tell me what to think, IGN gave Veilguard 9/10. It was allegedly written by a trans person.
Let’s imagine a world without video game outlets. No IGN, no Kotaku, no Polygon — they all just poof, overnight.
I can absolutely imagine such a world, and we could add Vice and CNN to the list. Legacy media no longer serves the common man. It’s funny, though. Dragon Age: The Veilguard is getting lambasted for its inclusive elements because it (apparently) isn’t a 10/10 experience. Meanwhile, I don’t recall Baldur’s Gate 3 getting a whole lot of flak for– oh, wait.
Woke does not always lead to broke. By why is Veilguard a worse gaming experience than BG3? The developers of Veilguard have a large corporation backing them, the Electronic Arts. BG3 was developed by Larian, an independent studio. Also, while BG3 includes homosexuality and you can create a trans character in the game, I have not encountered a dialogue preaching to me about pronouns and misgendering. Mediocre gaming experience and being preached to on gender ideology is what disgusts the public about Veilguard.
Also, BG3 allows you to turn off sexual scenes. Actually woke does not always lead to broke. Barbie was kinda woke but it attracted a segment of the population, girls that played with Barbie dolls in their youth, and their boyfriends that were forced to attend the screening of this movie. Somehow the marketing worked. There is a concept in marketing called Lovemarks, the latter is actually a book written by Kevin Roberts, CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi.
And I believe Lovemarks win in the video game business. The current consumer thinks twice where he puts his hard earned shekels. A game can cost around $100, if you want some super duper deluxe edition, and why would you put it in some woke garbage?
My ex girlfriend told me her mother’s shop got deleted from Facebook. Her mother is not a notorious troll like me so I wonder what happened. The algorithm could have fucked up. It could have been a glitch because I heard other people got randomly deleted from Facebook for no reason at all. This is a pit fall of these online businesses, it is good when it works, and totally sucks when they cut you off.
My short term rentals are dependent on Booking and AirBNB. I am totally paranoid about maintaining good relations with these platforms. I am writing a book and will be dependent on Amazon for distribution, and social media for propagation. Number of books have been banned on Amazon for ideological reasons, and I have to be extra careful what I write, self censorship.
What are the methods of dealing with this? Can the state be a champion of the citizens in litigation with these large transnational platforms? Do you think our leaders are up to the task? Do you think Keir Starmer, Petr Fiala, or Olaf Scholz will have your back? 😆

I have heard an interesting idea about solar recently. Apparently, the technology of solar panels is getting more and more effective, and batteries too are getting cheaper and more sophisticated. Sunny places, like the Mediterranean coast, could achieve energy abundance that could power manufacturing, and data centers. Southern Italy deserves this boon, as it is a depressed place subsisting on tourism but unfortunately that place is also heavily corrupt so I don’t know if they will manage. Maybe an influence from outside could help.
For us in Northern Europe it is only small modular reactors. Actually, if it was up to me, I would allow northern countries to burn coal. It is our divine right to heat our homes with hydrocarbons. In fact wood is good and renewable and literally binds CO2. Biodiesel is also renewable. I support burning wood and biodiesel hybrid cars. We need networks that will buy out cooking oil from restaurants and other kitchens, a network of refineries. Wood and pallets need to be subidized.
They have plenty of space for forests in Latvia. I heard somewhere that only 900k SIM cards are distributed in Latvia. This is a heavily depopulated place. Once upon a time, women wanted to be like men. It was unfair that women had to raise children, and had a biological clock, and a 60 year old granpa is smashing some 19 year old slut and what not. I have also recently read about a Harvard researcher that said artificial wombs would usher in a communist utopia because it would remove family and thus property relations. (Don’t know if the second is true) But not all women like this technological upgrade to their biological predicament.

I personally would not oppose a technology like artificial womb and gene editing. I am personally a techno pessimist. Read The Machine Stops. And in my opinion a society dependent on the artificial womb would be very fragile. It would be dependent on a machine, high technology. This requires maintenance, and is prone to malfunction and sabotage. If the machine stops, the colony is fucked.

Back in 2015, feminists were campaigning against the #NoHymenNoDiamond, a slogan created by the YouTuber, Undead Chronic. It basically says that you ought to marry a virgin if you want a happy marriage. 50% of marriages end in divorce, and women file the majority of divorces. Also, I have only met one girl that I could have a conversation on games with, and she wasn’t your typical attractive type. She was also streaming her gameplay and maintaining a gaggle of simp watchers. Although, the e-thot, gamer girl type, that is a moderately attractive woman streaming gameplay is likely not reflective of reality, even mingers like my acquaintance can get simps to follow them. These days, filters can lower the beauty requirements for entry for many women.
