  1. I’m ok with my name. But if it were to change, I’d change my name to Dai Vladimirovich al-Gaddafi.

    PS Dai = Dai Xu, a former Chinese air force colonel, who made a controversial comment on Confucianism back in early 2010s and urged Chinese to stop going with Confucianism. He came up with argument such as “Confucius couldn’t even protect his own city state during that period of Chinese history, how can he protect today’s China?” A very thought provoking comment I must say.

    1. Some people that emigrate to a place think changing their name will give them perks. Some people change their names to hide something. Changing names is bad karma if we are going with pre-modern ideologies. The whole shit about this traditionalism is they they are looking to philosophies and religions developed in the Iron Age, and while the world and technology were on the level of Iron Age, these ideologies had relevance but this world is very different, the economy is different. The challenges people face are different. War is different. Diplomacy is different.

      1. I came up with that name based on three of my most admired public figures out there. Of course, I won’t really change to that.

        And while I don’t like the whole idea of sticking to outdated philosophies, I have to say one thing: there are way too many among the newer brand of right wings who’re not really there to solve problems. They just want to demonstrate how angry they are and call anyone who doesn’t allow themselves to be bullied by them as “liberal cry babies with microscopic vagina underneath their balls, go write a romantic novel, CCP bitch”. And when you dissect their arguments, they basically want one thing: to be as big of a fool as possible without facing any sort of consequences. For me, I’m more into solving an existing problem, not just there to talk shit and bully people.

        At the end of the day, both the tradcons and the newer brand of right-wingers such as the AnCaps and those who believe “women like thugs right? Well, be a thug ourselves! Problem solved! And anyone who disagree with that is either an incel or a faggot”…none of them, I mean none of them, are solving anything other than demonstrate an idealized, grandiose, delusional version of themselves.

        I be like “ok, you’re giga chad. Bravo! Congratu-fucking-lation. Now fuck off” to the Alt-rights/Alt-lite/AnCap/Be-The-Thug crowds;

        Or “ok, you’re implementing some 2000 years old fucking bullshit on all of us, and did the problem get solved? If not, then please fuck off and don’t let the door hit you in the ass” to the tradcons.

        It’s fucking comical to me, that none of them…alt-rights/alt-lites/AnCap/Mr Be-The-Thugs, nor the tradcons, seem to recognize each other when it comes to dissing me. They normally argue their asses off, but when it comes to dissing me, they’re more united than ever, despite they just demonstrate it by pretending each other don’t exist and focus on only me. Sometimes I can even get the hardcore China supporters riled up, and once again…the same. Those other two, despite hate China and often shitting on hardcore China supporters for being “Winnie fans” and ask for social credit score, but when it comes to dissing me, they…well, all three of them just pretend the other guys don’t exist and focus on only me. It’s fucking ridiculous! I do kinda wonder why though.

        Well, I don’t deal with dumb asses, no matter which side they support, that’s why my followers on Facebook and even on Zhihu don’t grow as fast (I’m planning on moving to BiliBili btw. It’s kind of a Chinese YouTube that also allows article sharing). But I don’t care, because at the end of the day, I prefer a few people who’re really smart than an army worth of chimps.
