The problem with Standing with Gaza, is how it’s done through celebrities. It’s already kinda mainstream to the level that even some big names are using it to gain popularities. Nowadays I kinda equate it with Standing with Ukraine, even though the two cases are not related if you look at it through the lenses of politics. Either way, the whole deal attracts hordes of NPCs with vulvitis problem. Ukraine is getting erased from publics’ attention just like that.
Speaking of which, many psychologists have been conducting psychological experiment on how to manipulate public consensus. See, with the case of trolling, even in the earliest days of social media back in the late 1990s and early 2000s, trolling has been there, where they kept sharing bullshit stories and what would be called a fake news today. A lot of them were actually done by the researchers who were studying human behaviors and how the widespread of internet can affect information spreading. That perhaps explains the widespread of urban legends back in that era.
Now, guess which part of the world churned out the most urban legend? East Asia! I mean it’s fun and entertaining and all that. I’ve read the ones from Motherland, the ones from Hong Kong and Taiwan, the ones from Japan…etc. But the point is, the region is literally obsessed with urban legend. With that being said, I think the results of such research may have made it into the hands of policy makers. They know how much of gullible suckers the folks in the region can be. This helps them to further understand the impacts of post-WW2 reformation of Asian societies and most of all, how to further utilize this. With this info in mind along with other benefits Asia can bring to them, the pivot to Asia has became a thing under Obama and it has never really stopped, which may lead to my prediction: Pacific Rim region will be the last remaining fortress of US hegemony. And by now, the policy makers may have also realized one thing: these second gen middle-class normies and NPCs in US and EU LOVE them underdog stories. It was the same reason why wiggaz have been such a big thing in US back in 2000s and same reason why them infantile ass bitches love thugs and d-boys. They would come up with those modern-day Joan of Arc stories to satisfy the spiritual emptiness of today’s publics, BUT they’ll make sure the Joan of Arc figures won’t present any sort of real threats towards their interests. This is why Hamas has become almost a demi-God figure among many liberals in the West and the goofballs who support both Palestine and Ukraine have become a thing.
