I have a theory: the type of dudes who write shit like that to enjoy sex on their own. Shits kinda like how you create your own waifu on MMO games and drawing 3D erotic sci-fi and hentai. But that said, they have one problem; just like Nazis pretend to be “fighting for their races and nation’s survival” who turn out to be gigantic faggots, they also hide behind “fighting for women’s rights” to cover up whatever fetishism they got going on. They need to just be direct and admit it, that they have some wild sexual fantasies, instead of hiding behind some sort of socio-political agenda which they don’t really know shit about.
I would say this has much more mundane explanations. Like there are strict guidelines the writers must follow to fit the ESG agenda. And to make Larry Fink happy they also hire this colored haired Amerimutt because minorities and LGBT representation. Nobody cares if their stock goes into the shitter, Larry can just buy more of it.
You know what? I actually got a an example here. Let’s take a look at RuneScape. It’s not a secret that I’ve returned to the realm of Gielinor a little while ago and built my very own waifu. I’ve pieced together what has happened since I left that game a long time ago: basically, Jagex did a whole bunch of updates that made no sense, from some really bat shit quest lines to allowing players to buy skin override with real world money and even launching some sort of slot-machine-ish content that…once again, need real world money to run. It has caused a lot of players to leave. Now, they even introduced some LGBTQ-friendly quest lines.
Jagex keeps making bullshit updates that attracts zero players, and given how few players there are and most of them are returnees such as myself, you’d think Jagex may go out of business in less than a year, right? Well, that’s not the case. Jagex has basically figured out a survival route that can ensure the company’s and RuneScape’s survival. How they do it?
1. Creating female and LGBTQ friendly contents. Those two are most likely to spend massive bucks on bullshit. They’re your ideal consumers.
2. On top of that, create a little bit side contents that are addictive enough to keep neckbeards attracted. That bikini outfits that players with female avatar can get can be mixed with tons of override. You can literally have your avatar go half-naked, no matter what armor you wear. Shit I even have my self-made waifu dressing in kimono tops and bikini bottom, makes it looks like a piece of micro-mini kimono, with katana attached. I’m going on neckbeard mode for a little while longer, and I’ll return to my normal self once I’m done. BUT here’s the trick; your everyday chronic neckbeards are pretty weak-minded. They simply won’t leave, no matter how bad the game gets. They’ll keep on returning.
3. As far as investor goes, as long as they see a company still able to generate profits and are stable enough, they’ll invest. Whether it’s through the usual consumer base, or through neckbeards who just simply don’t know any better. Making LGBTQ-related contents, nonsensical contents, or even turning the game into an MMO version of casino won’t matter.
So basically, Jagex has re-invented itself and RuneScape is able to survive on skeletal player-base. Basically, the company is going undead – as long as LGBTQs are satisfied, neckbeards won’t be pissed enough to leave or are simply too addicted, then Jagex gets to make a fat check. Similar phenomenon can be spotted with Reddit’s third-party ban apps. There were tons of subs went private or even closed down temporarily to protest against the whole deal, but the efforts were fruitless. Why? Same; neckbeards are too weak-willed to live a life without Reddit, and all the feminists and LGBTQs are not exactly affected, as Reddit has never unleashed anything that’s anti-feminist or “homophobic”. That said, even those subs closed down for good, nothing will happen to Reddit. Now, even if 4Chan wanna try it somehow, I bet it will still be around…yeah they may do that cyber-bullying shit as an attempt to shoo them away, but it won’t work and at worst, they’ll get fucked over on their own favorite sites.
To simply put, companies can survive on skeletal customer-base and still won’t lose investors nor even profits, whether we like it or not. It’s especially true for well-known big companies with established reputations, namely Jagex and Reddit. This is why I become less interested in the concept of “protesting the problem away”, “rioting the problem away”, “voting the problem away”, “blame the problem away”. Those are meant to fool the feeble-minded rich peasants, or I mean the middle-class. The problem is simply not going anywhere unless you can track down to the source.
In fairness producers set the woke idiocy limits. These days it’s hard to believe a self-respecting writer will stoop to working for Hollywood as it has a cretinism ceiling. This existed a century ago, Wodehouse made fun of it WRT Broadway plays that the producer’s son had to like.
