Not every leader is fond of such a format -expedited procedure – because they want clear steps for everyone. But we are not everyone, with full understanding for everyone. We are waging a war and we need more creative steps.

Russia will find a way to block Ukraine’s path to EU. They don’t want to see us succeed. Russia does not need a successful Ukraine, they will attempt to prevent Ukraine from becoming a European country, to prevent Ukraine from becoming part of the European family. That’s why we need a quick accession.

I am not saying this as a president, I am saying this as a citizen. We want to be part of Europe. If you want us, if you need us, our strong army, our strong nation, if you see us, please look at us. We want to be the same, not better but not even worse. That’s why we want clear membership.

I am glad Czechia has the government that it has now. Because I don’t see them admitting Ukraine in the EU. In my opinion, Russia has already made sure Ukraine will not join the EU. For that the war would at least have to stop. However, I am not sure Russia would be open to any settlement that will allow Ukraine to join the EU. This issue is slightly more complicated than Cyprus. But the Ukrainians that don’t have an economy, don’t have peace want to join the EU right now. 😆👌
