The prime minister of Czechia draws out the Russophobia card before elections.

He says that we have shed our dependence on Russia. He means energy dependence. But our energy bills are higher and business and households are suffering. The election will be a contest between east and west, implying that his opponents are pro-Russian or alternatively pro-Chinese.

Russia thinks within the logic of imperial and great power politics according to which, countries that are great powers set the rules. The other countries are here to obey and subordinate themselves to the rules set by great powers. If we aren’t in tune with such a philosophy, we should view Russia as a threat.
-Petr Pavel, president of Czechia.
The problem with this statement is that the EU and the US have basically the same attitude and Czechia does their bidding.
