Cash is King

But is it?

This is also cash…

So, I see a lot of anxiety about the phasing out of cash. People rightly fear the government will get much more control over transactions people make, and would be able to tax transactions, or tell people what they can or cannot buy. Currently, transactions in cash over €3,000 are banned in the EU. This right to cash is often taken up by the politicians.

But why are we defending papers and coins issued by a central bank? This is just fiat that they can produce at any amounts and while it appears to be a great medium of exchange because it is the accepted legal tender, it does not hold value…

I have been curious about the very question of what is money. Basically, I found my old crypto wallet and began buying crypto, and this naturally led me to this very fundamental question. I realized that cash as a medium is sorely lacking in many qualities. Not only is it prone to manipulation by forces that are outside your control but also it could be faked.

Crypto like Bitcoin has a limited supply, there will be 21 million Bitcoins at the end and the supply cannot be increased. Other cryptocurrencies work differently, Ethereum has a burning mechanism that controls the inflation, in which some tokens are burned by the system and that controls the supply. Cryptocurrencies like Monero allow anonymity in transactions. In my opinion the cryptocurrency world is a developing medium that could supplant fiat money in due time or become a parallel and competing way of exchange.

The above video shows that all kinds of shit was used as money historically… If you want to keep central bank issued fiat cash because you think it will maintain anonymity of transactions, you are simply not being thinking creatively. We can have those payments digitally if the government doesn’t get involved.

Crypto adoption in the West, where the fiat system is relatively stable is very low but in places like Africa or Latin America the adoption among people is much higher. Was crypto ever to become a popular medium of exchange in the West, the governments would likely try to ban it by saying it is used by criminals and terrorists. Currently, there are already attempt under way to roll out digital currencies issued by central banks.

  1. Basically, it’s not about the amounts of cash you got, but what you’re willing to do with it. The way I see it, a jeep that can travels off the road, with a camper attached; an AK or AR-15 and Glock 19, as well as tons of rounds; ability to point a big middle fucking finger to my family, so I won’t have any human luggages nor having to fit into someone else’s expectation; either the ability to grow my own food and weed (for coping) or a whole closet worth of MRE and weed. And most of all: the ability and willingness to DIY on things. Those beats Tesla and mansion with pool any day. Most rich folks got their shits backward lol.

Of course, if things are stable, I’d want a mansion with pool too, which tons of hoes wearing either thing bikini, OL outfit, micro-mini kimono or school uniforms (Chinese, Korean, Japanese or British style are all fine). But my camper, jeeps and guns ain’t going nowhere, as I can’t predict when shits gonna jump off again and I either have to fight or run.

      1. A lot of these are efforts at making sure no one escapes. I’d expect upcoming laws to make getting cars or driver license difficult in the name of some Green bullshit. This way, both Elon Musk and those Chinese EV makers will be fucked over. Green food producers in US and EU won’t be affected though. But at the same time, they’ll refuse to make public transportation more accessible nor covering more areas.

      2. If my job didn’t require my presence at a workplace, I would barely go out of my house. Literally, I can even get food and grocers delivered to my home. Any clothing or entertainment is already delivered by mail or downloaded. Imagine when they start using drones for that, I have plenty of space for them to land. I literally wouldn’t have to leave the premises I live on.

  2. Instead of good ol’ delivery service, which I’ll only use for some of the stuffs, I’d prefer to have as much stuffs of my own as possible. But that’s just me.

    1. You mean stuff you yourself produce? That’s some hard work. Imagine keeping chickens, proper gardening, maybe even have a piggy in a pen. I don’t think my neighbors would be happy. My neighbor had a pony for his daughter in his garden, and some people have chickens.

      1. Hey, remember what we’ve discussed before, about them goyslop. Given the prices we’re having, the type of food that’s becoming mainstream, the type of people we’re having – never underestimated the power of collective insanity…I’ve become more misanthropic lately for a reason. Given everything that’s currently on the table and my prediction, I’d say yes, you do want to be as autonomous as possible to avoid bullshit. Of course, not everything. As you said, shits hard. But if you can afford make things autonomous, then do it. And most of all, you’ll definitely need a way to defend yourself.

Then the next assignment would be how to avoid being driven nuts by isolation. I say the key is to become so self-sufficient that socializing, especially the in person type of socializing and the type of shits that’s on Reddit and Chans…make those the condiments instead of main dishes. This way, you get to live the most bullshit free life this century can offer.

      2. I live in an agrarian region. You can source a lot of quality stuff from small time producers if you try. Lot of people source eggs and meat this way. Unless the faggot overlords legislate small farming out of existence, this is going to be here. I doubt they could survive politically if they try taking this away from people. But who knows, they could force that Covid shit on people.
