Javier Milei

WTF?

This is Karlin’s post…

So, Argentina has elected a new president. He ran on a right wing libertarian platform. He loves Israel, wants to convert to Judaism. He also loves Ukraine, he is a shill for Washington, and will not join the BRICS on 1 January 2024. He will make Israel great again, I am totally certain of this.

That said, he has an interesting right wing economic program that I kinda like. Especially his thinning of the government, where he wants to abolish several ministries. I actually felt bad because I myself am technically an employee of the Ministry of Culture, and I am glad the object I work in belongs to the state and not to some private owner or even the municipality. They would turn it into a Disneyland. But then again, this country has much longer history and richer heritage than Argentina.

Clearly there is no need for a Women’s ministry anywhere in the World. But as I grow older, I do not think statism is all that bad. All the private sector cares about is short term gain. Some projects and industries take long to develop and cost money. I also do not think the ascendancy of a figure like Milei is possible outside basket case economies like Argentina with 140% inflation. This is some Weimar level bullshit.

  1. Both left-wing and right-wing seem to have ignored the core issues at hand, the way I see it. Take a look at Argentina’s case: if the left has resulted in the ministry of women, then something is definitely wrong. Perhaps both the left and the right are focused on middle-class’ happiness rather than what works vs what doesn’t.

Then again, despite the gender nonsense, left-wing governments are more cooperative to Russia and China. I’d say Beijing and Moscow should support them but be aware for the populist uprising – folks like Milei didn’t get elected without at least certain level of support and certain size of fanbase within Argentinian populations. I hope I won’t hear about cringe ass Chinese immigrants going there, hoping it’s pro-China and get their ass whooped. If I go there, I’d pretend to be Japanese lol.

But at the same time, don’t be too harsh on right-wing cases like Milei or the former Brazilian president Bolsonaro for that matter. I mean when you really look at it, right-wing are exploitable. You can’t be pro-Israel, pro-US and want to take back Falkland at the same time, ok. This is why I’ve been saying that whole “uniting the right” won’t really work and is something born out of idealism and Dugin has his head up his ass. That aside, it does make a perfect exploiting spot for Beijing and Moscow though, and I hope Xi doesn’t have his head up his ass this time and actually take advantage of such situation – not sure about Xi, but if it’s up to me, I’m not nice enough to ignore such opportunity.

    1. When it comes to alignement with BRICS or the West, the South American and African countries will always be torn. In Africa I understand they want an alternative to the European colonialists that have exploited them for many decades but in South America, how much does this make sense? Russia and China are far away. Maybe some of the anti-colonialist left might be more inclined to cooperate with BRICS but at the end of the day, US and Europe are closer. You want to trade with those that are close to you geographically, you do not want to end up on a periphery. This is why I am worried about my neck of the woods. We are on the margins.

Politics has become a show. I think as the world becomes more unstable, we will see more of these cocky characters emerge, from both left or right. Also, what people consider right is usually that because it is anti-left. Left is against capitalism, so capitalism is right wing. The left is simping for the women, if you are not a simp, you are a right wing incel. The left is pro-homo, so if you are also not pro-homo, you are right wing. It is almost like the boundaries are set by the leftists and the rightists are passengers in a bus they are driving.

      1. For Latin America, it’s like that; US has been trying to control politics for a while now. There are folks who’re affected by it, and there are folks who’re sick and tired of it, and both cases are perfectly understandable. It’s the same thing US has been trying to do with East Asia – Africa is different, as it’s mostly Europe’s business. But East Asia got Russia to the north, so for those who’re sick and tired of sucking dick, they can roll with Russia instead. For Latin America, it may seem as if US is trying to drag them by the balls, but they can’t stop sentiments from forming. Then again, the main problem with Latin American politics is how a lot of them don’t seem to really address the problems of commoners. Chavez’s case was different, as he actually did want to address the issue of poverty in Venezuela, but Chavista fucked up because they failed to diversify Venezuelan economic. Starting from late 2000s, it was almost certain that Venezuela would enter into shit storm. It was just a matter of time.

Now, for China and Russia, if they really wanna expand, then why not go for Latin America? Why not? I mean, US happens to be a major concern for both Beijing and Moscow, right? Look at how US is approaching Eastern Europe and Asia, and why can’t China nor Russia do something in return? And to be honest, if anyone still cares about Monroe Doctrine, then Falkland War wouldn’t even happen in the first place, so Monroe Doctrine argument is kinda irrelevant.

All in all, there are Latinos who’re mad at US, and Beijing and Moscow expanding influence to Latin America…why the fuck not? Nobody wanna play chess forever. If there’s something that can deal a finishing blow, then be it. To be honest, this is the problem I have with some Duginists: a lot of them seem to have this idea of “let’s let US to have some pieces…they get to have East Asia and Latin America, while Russians got Central Asia and contest with EU over Eastern Europe. Fuck US, EU and East Asia”. It’s like…Dugin is trying to build some kind of scenario editor shit on Age of Empire or something (I do it too, I’ll admit it. But my shit got more taste to it and there’s no way I’ll bring that Age of Empire shit to real life). The world doesn’t work that way. Dugin seems to have ignored a lot of small stuffs that both Beijing and Moscow can be benefited a lot from. The problem with Dugin is that he seems to follow a very straight-edge way of thinking. He can think deep, but he seems to lack in perspectives, and that’s why he comes up with shits that gets nowhere.

      2. And “Also, what people consider right is usually that because it is anti-left. Left is against capitalism, so capitalism is right wing. The left is simping for the women, if you are not a simp, you are a right wing incel.”…this, is what happens when folks care way too much about values. I care quite a bit about values tbh, but I just don’t go about it in the same lame way that many others do…it’s always “capitalism good, socialism bad. Left wing = simping and right wing = incels (I be like dude, ever heard of the term alpha simps?)”.

The way I see it, I care more about what can lead to the desired effect when it comes to values rather than that normie bullshit of “if you’re this, you must be that” or a more advanced way that many Duginists tend to practice, such as “I don’t give a fuck about what you believe in… democracy, communism…shit doesn’t matter. If you’re in my way, not only you’ll be eaten alive, but I’ll have your family members do it”…I mean, I get that point, that ideas such as religions and political beliefs are just pretext for shits, but who wanna buy into it? You wonder why Dugin is not even popular in Russia? Human beings are not machines. You gotta mix something into it, whether it’s the explanation of ground reality and a finger to point the blame onto, or something that can truly uplifting the struggle of the masses and you and your country get some side benefits along the way. If you only use a series of bullying tactics and bulldoze anyone in your way, unless the society of your country is really that supportive and abuses are almost nonexistent, you’ll put both the government and the people in a very dangerous position.

  2. This is an encouraging thing, Milei winning. I agree with you about Ukraine/Russia and Palistine/Isreal. But I dont care if Milei agrees too.

Sound money is the most important thing. Endless debt will be the ruin of everybody.
