Electric Trucks Suck

As you probably know from reading this blog I am very skeptical of the electric vehicles and beyond some city car for shopping I don’t give them much future. And I hope logistics will remain dominated by diesel guzzling monsters, and that alternative diesel sources will be developed. I made some search of the internet on transport trucks with electric batteries.

And that’s why many years after the Tesla semi or whatever that monstrosity was called, they are nowhere to be seen. If I order food delivery, they arrive in a gasoline of diesel van. Amazon rolled out some electric vans in Murica but local companies never adopted those. If they have heavy shit like books and furniture to deliver, they need something light that would carry a lot of stuff and wouldn’t be hindered by heavy batteries. We can invest into lighter, more durable, cleaner engines instead of heavy lithium batteries. What is the point?

PS: There might be new electric motors on horizon that will reduce the size of the batteries, the battery 🔋 technology could also reduce their size. And the vehicles in the end could be much more energy efficient than diesel motors. And perhaps there will be more electric transport vehicles in the future. I am not sure however, if we need the government to phase out the diesel vehicles through regulation?
