So, there is a new trend online of people showing Chinese progress. China is a country that lifted hundreds of millions out of poverty over the last 30 years. Meanwhile, the West has declined in wealth over the last 30 years. China builds infrastructure like crazy. China builds the most renewable energy in the World, while burning coal as well. China is totally high tech with a completely sovereign Internet. The system delivers, while not affording the kind of freedoms that we are used to in the West. And the latter is the social contract, who needs to criticize the government when your life is getting better?

Of course China is not without its problems, utopia can never be built and anyone promising utopian tomorrow is suspect in my book. But Neo-China arrives from the future, and that’s a fact.
