Elon Musk has announced plans to establish a new game studio under his AI startup xAI, aiming to revolutionize the gaming industry.
I wish Elon all the luck. He seems to aim at making things more affordable, more efficient. Not that it always works out. There is no hyperloop but I hear Boring Company managed to make digging more affordable. Space X reduced the cost of delivering payloads to the orbit. Starlink seems to be a success, and the Starship is on its way to becoming a viable technology. There is some hype about Tesla phones.
I would buy one and return to X with it… Elon has the potential to revolutionize the way studios produce games. It might as well be hype like a lot of things about Elon.
Elon also got pissed off recently over a recent publication by Jason Tondro, the lead designer on D&D chastising the original authors of D&D for insensitive language.
I hear that D&D isn’t exactly profitable as an IP for Hasbro. And Hasbro does crazy things to earn some dollars from it.
I don’t wanna imply anything, I don’t see inside the kitchens of either Hasbro or Larian. It is sad that we will not have any more D&D games made by Larian. That is ultimately what interests me, not the inside games of corporations. Why doesn’t Elon buy D&D from Hasbro?
