Anatoly Karlin has some powerful takes…
Anatoly Karlin has been on some massive cope ever since the Special Military Operation in Ukraine, known in other circles as Russo-Ukrainian war began. His takes were getting ever more weirder and weirder.
He wrote several essays recently that reveal his depression. (Read this if you wanna waste an hour of your life) And his idea basically amounts to this. Russia fucked up, it will never become a civilization in its own right that would rival the West. It’s over! And if you cannot beat the West, you might as well join it. And for that purpose, Russia should embrace the LGBT and sissyfication, and organize the largest gay pride parade in Moscow.
And then apparently, the West will somehow accept Russia or rather what remains of it, a merchant republic of gayness centered on Novgorod. I agree with Karlin that Russia has a lot of problems, and is perhaps one administrative decision away from holding a pride parade. However, nobody cares.
The West doesn’t give a fuck if Russia is Tsarist, Liberal, Communist, Magically Putinist, or Homosexually Futuristic. The West has one single programme for Russia that barely changed since the Middle Ages.
Russia, or its successor states should adopt Western system of values and subordinate itself to the international Western network of states, which is what Karlin wants. But in that system Russia is a colony (this concerns other countries like the Baltics, Ukraine, or Georgia, but also Poland, and the Czech Republic). And that means no Singapore centered on Novgorod but rather a resource appendage. The Western countries will not allow the Eastern countries to ever rise to their level. You will be lucky if you will make screws for Western made machines that will be resold to you.

Perhaps the theory remains true: both the big time shitlibs AND nationalists are closet faggots. Once again, I have no choice other than bringing up Mbti again to explain Anatoly’s abnormality and depression after the war began: Anatoly is apparently within Fi-Te axis. Based on his older writings, my guess would be INTJ (like the disgruntled Taiwanese guy I’ve discussed with before). Ni and Te are obvious. If he’s a high Ti user, he wouldn’t base his analysis on pure nationalism and there will be more mechanical approach towards the societal issues behind everything, like that of mine. The problem here, is that that Fi and Se may kick in when the Ni and Te failed him. It will turn him into a grumpy grandpa with wounded ego and make him more unpredictable, which is demonstrated in his more recent writings.

Number of people change their ideologies in life due to some form of betrayal for instance from people they put their trust in. I just do not get why Karlin thinks, or even has the temerity to think that he could do better in Putin’s shoes. Politics is always the art of the possible. You are given a certain hand to play, and must do your best. The latter is not always possible. I have kept calm during this war. Karlin is scared of NATO and feeding his readership that NATO supplies will somehow make Ukraine win. Only NATO boots on the ground can save Ukraine now. Most European nations have very small militaries and small stocks, they rely on US for defense. The US has been the biggest supplier of weapons to Ukraine for a reason.

I believe I know what went down. Karlin believed he had everything figured out and operation in Ukraine may be easy. He was proven wrong and became disappointed. That, combined with possibly low-level exposure to different crowds in real life, has led him to believe in magic and came up with the conclusion of “if Putin still can’t win by now, then Putin is shit and West is superior.” The fact that he’s obsessed with nationalism and big power politics doesn’t help neither.
Well, we got a Saruman with us now. This is what happens when folks focus too much on the big thing and live inside their own heads too much but forget to look into every possibility. When shit hits the fan, they freak out and lose whatever rationality they once had. I’ll ignore him for now but may check his ass out once Putin clear off all Ukrainian military presence in Donbass.

There is also the idea that he might be a British secret service asset planted to monitor Russia but given the structure of his writings, I believe that he is disturbed that Russia is not moving the way that he likes. He used to say Putin reads his blog but apparently the latter either doesn’t or has no option to influence things the way Karlin would like.
